(This is an excerpt from the book Internet Marketing for Newbies - read the whole book for FREE)

Have you ever been frustrated when visiting a website because you can not get the information you need? Getting people to your site is half the battle, getting them what they came for is the next step.

Hi,

How would you organize a blog efficiently? In my blog, you press a category and see the list of all the posts there. That's really not convenient, especially if you have a lot of posts.

Do you expect the user to search for posts using a search engine, or look for them manually?

Cheers,

Gal

There are four ways to find content:
Manual browsing - randomly clicking around and reading
Tags - many tags should be on your posts, highlighting keywords
Categories - a few broad categories, maybe 5 or 10 that cover your main topics and group posts
Search - looking for a specific word or theme

All should be available on your blog so that people can choose how to find content. It is up to you to make sure your tags, categories, navigation and search are all organized and working properly.

I still haven't put the tags out there. Will try it out.

Thanks,
