Most people think it is safer to work for a big company than to start their own business. The exact opposite is true. When you work for someone else:

It is far riskier to work for someone else and rely on their success to keep you afloat. When you work for yourself you don't have to worry about getting fired. And if you structure your business right, you will have many sources of passive income so that you get paid whether you work or not.
