If you are designing a website use this simple 3 step approach:
• Purpose- determine what you want people to do when they visit the page
• Content- what do you need on the page to fulfill the purpose
• Layout- based on the content you have, lay out the page to accomplish your purpose
Sounds simple, but it can be harder than it sounds. Make sure you take your time and draw this out on a piece of paper or white board first. Making changes once websites have been created costs a lot more than erasing a few lines and starting over.
