I get so frustrated dealing with frontline sales and service people that can't think beyond corporate policy. There almost always is some kind of solution when there is a problem. It may be different than what the customer or the employee expected, but there are always alternatives.
When a salesperson tells me that something is not his job, or it is company policy it tells me the company stinks. Either they enforce bad policies, or hire mindless drones who can't think on their own.
